Die Kirche Auktion Donation Guidelines
The Sts. Peter & Paul Die Kirche Auktion Fest Committee (“Committee") will make reasonable efforts to categorize, describe and display all auction items accurately and in good faith. Items may be grouped or bundled at the discretion of the Committee.
All donated items must meet the following criteria:
The Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction at any time, for any reason. The donor is responsible for substantiating the value of this donation for tax purposes. The value of the item(s) has not been appraised or verified by the Committee. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of their contribution. The donor agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sts. Peter & Paul Die Kirche Auktion Committee, its agents, employees and volunteers from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, and damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to the donation, condition, authenticity, or sale of the item(s).
No goods or services were or will be provided in exchange for donations received.
By submitting an auction donation form and delivering the item(s), the donor affirms that they have the legal right to donate the item(s) and hereby transfer full, legal, and unrestricted ownership of the item(s) to the Committee for the purposes of the auction. The donor acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to all the terms stated herein.
Please retain a copy of the donation form(s) for your records.
All donated items must meet the following criteria:
- Alcoholic beverages must be sealed and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Items must be unworn, unbroken, unexpired, properly labeled, in working condition and otherwise suitable for public presentation and auction.
- Items received after the designated donation drop-off period may be accepted or excluded from the current year’s auction at the sole discretion of the Committee

Die Kirche Auktion Rules
- Each person wanting to bid on the Live Auction and/or the Silent Auction must register for a bidding number.
- The Silent Auction will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and continue without interruption until all sections are closed. The Live Auction will begin at approximately 1p.m.
- Payment by the successful bidder should be made at the time of the bidder's departure. Payment may be made by cash or check. No credit cards.
- All checks should be made payable to Sts. Peter and Paul Church Auction.
- Sts. Peter & Paul Die Kirche Auktion Fest Committee has attempted to describe and catalogue all items correctly and all items are offered "as is". All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds.
- All auction items must be removed from the Old Haubstadt Gym on the evening of the auction.
- An auction checkout stub will serve as your "paid" receipt and can be obtained from an auction cashier at the time of payment. This stub must be presented to an auction worker before any items may be removed from the building. For large items, please make arrangements for pickup with the Auction committee.
- The auction checkout stub will serve as your official receipt for tax purposes. The value set forth for each item is a good faith estimate of the fair market value as required by the Internal Revenue Service. The buyer may deduct anything over and above the fair market value of the item.
- Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must be used within one year of the auction date.
- Each person issued a number assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising therefrom; Sts. Peter and Paul Church/School, its elected and appointed officials, members, and employees, the auctioneer, the auction host, the event organizers, sponsors, the Town of Haubstadt, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.
