Liturgical Ministries
Liturgical ministers are called by God to be instruments of Christ's real presence. Please take a moment to review the ministries available at our parish. Volunteers are welcome anytime and training is provided. If you feel called to serve, please contact the parish office to register or learn more.

Opportunities to serve in liturgical ministry include:
- Altar Sacristan: Altar Sacristans assist in the preparation of liturgical celebrations. Sacristans are responsible for the "behind the scenes" needs and the care of materials used in our liturgy.
- Altar Server: Altar Servers assist the priest in the celebration of Mass. Youth in grades 4-12 are welcome.
- Greeter/Usher: Greeters/ushers help maintain a welcoming atmosphere in our parish by greeting those entering the main entrance of church before Mass, assisting in the seating of guests, facilitating an orderly flow of the communion procession, collecting monetary gifts of the faithful, procuring those who will present the gifts and distributing the weekly Bulletin at the end of Mass.
- Usher: Ushers take up the collection during Mass and assist guest to their seats as needed.
- Lector: Lectors proclaim the readings at Mass and share the Mass announcements before Mass begins.
- Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion distribute Communion or the Precious Blood. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion also assist with Friday home Communion visits.
- Marriage Formation Ministry: Open to married couples of the parish, our marriage formation ministry connects engaged couples with a married sponsor couple for preparation to receive the Sacrament of Marriage. - Music Ministry: Music ministry is open to anyone and training is provided to all musicians and cantors, as needed. To learn more about our music ministry, contact Drew Wilson, director of sacred music, at 812-768-6457. Opportunities to participate in music ministry include:
- Accompanist, use your talents to support congregational singing! Our accompanists play a variety of instruments at our weekend Masses including piano, guitar, organ, horn and accordion. All instrumentalists are welcome to share their gifts!
- Cantor, lead the congregation in sung prayer.
- Adult Choir, even if you can't read music, all voices are always welcome!
- Children's Choir, open to anyone in grades K-5 who enjoys music and singing!
- Youth Choir, open to anyone in grades 5-12. To learn more, contact Susan Pfeiffer at 812-768-5817.
- Resurrection Choir, all are welcome to offer their talents and sing at funerals.
- Rosary Leader: Rosary leaders lead the congregation in praying the Rosary before weekend Masses.
