Marriage
"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament."
- Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) - 1601
Congratulations to our newly engaged couples! The Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant, a permanent union between the husband and wife and God. Because Christian marriage is a sacrament, the Church wants couples to be well prepared. Our marriage preparation program is meant to help couples better understand the sacrament, to evaluate and deepen their readiness, and to gain insights into themselves both as an individual and as a couple.
Candidates for marriage are expected to be registered, participating, contributing members of the parish. Please contact Breana Taylor least 6 months in advance to reserve the church and discuss our marriage preparation process.
